Instrument Sealer

The Instrument Sealer is designed to complement Mohawk Classic Instrument and Piano Lacquers. This a single component sealer, no catalyst needed.  It is an excellent choice for sealing instruments like guitars, pianos or any project that will be top coated with a nitrocellulose finish. While it is primarily designed as a system to go under the Piano or Classic Instrument Lacquers it may be used as a top coat where a matte sheen is desired. Instrument Sealer can be coated with any Mohawk nitrocellulose topcoat.  

  • Excellent build, flexibility and sanding qualities
  • Suitable as a matte top coat
  • Conventional VOC, nitrocellulose base
  • 19% solids by weight
  • Ready to spray viscosity
  • Reduce with Lacquer Reducer 2255, M650-010
